From my window I can see the massed bands marching past towards the House Of Lords. HM the Queen will follow shortly. And what will she see? Nothing that passes for a crowd, just a straggle of people behind the security fences, concrete bomb barriers and policemen. But if she's lucky she'll get a full blast of that nasty Australian woman parked in Brian Haw's slum peace camp, who's in full flow this morning with her megaphone. She barracked the Guards as they paraded smartly passed as the police looked on benignly. Foreign visitors must be mystified, but such is the wonder of our "police state" democracy...
