They put out these sinister adverts about what will happen if you don't pay your licence fee and then serve up a load of rubbish... What do viewers get for their money? Cookery programmes, Strictly Come Dancing and an unbelievable amount of repeats.
Ian Wright is not a big fan of the BBC

Yes, the adverts would make the Stasi feel proud if they had done them. "The adulation of oppressing others" describes it - reminiscent of the Third Reich in some ways.

The way our society seems minded to go in for attacking itself by authoritarian actions must make a good PhD topic for some budding sociologist.

All the petty (and quite frankly vindictive) actions by local councils that make the newspapers just enhance the notion that Parliament seems not to be able to either comprehend the potential in the legislation that the Home Office serves up to them or, even it does, resist it.
