'Personal Freedom'

June's TNG will be on Tuesday 7th June with Peter Stringfellow, one of the world's most famous nightclub owners.

His nightclub business started out in the 1960s in Sheffield and today Peter owns the Stringfellow's table dancing clubs in London - Stringfellow's Covent Garden and Stringfellow's Angels - and a club in Paris.

Known by many as the King of Clubs, Peter is a self made businessman and is also a Conservative.

He will be talking for 10 minutes on the topic of personal freedom. You will also be able to meet and ask him questions before and after his talk.

"The Pursuit of Happiness – and Tools Essential to Attaining It"

Dr Tara Smith is an objectivist and professor of philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin. She is the current holder of the BB&T Chair for the Study of Objectivism and will be talking on the pursuit of happiness and the tools essential to attaining it.She specializes in moral and political theory and has published works including Viable Values: A Study of Life as the Root and Reward of Morality (2000), Moral Rights and Political Freedom (1995), and Ayn Rand's Normative Ethics: The Virtuous Egoist (2006). Tara is a member of the Ayn Rand Society and is affiliated with the Ayn Rand Institute

"Corporatism and the free market"

May's TNG will be on Tuesday 3rd May with Conservative MP Liz Truss. Elizabeth Truss was elected as MP for South West Norfolk in 2010 and is a member of the Justice Select Committee.

Liz became deputy director of Reform in 2008 after working for ten years in the telecommunications and energy industry. In March this year she released a report with CentreForum in which she argued for an end to bias against serious academic subjects in the education system so that social mobility can be improved.

She will be talking for 10 minutes on the topic of corporatism and the free market. You will also be able to meet and ask her questions before and after her talk.
