David Skarbek starts off our 2013 Next Generation events with a talk on the economics of prisons and prison gangs.

He is a Lecturer in Political Economy at King's College London. His research examines how people who lack resources, freedom, and political rights evade, overthrow, and adapt to formal institutions to secure gains from cooperation.
