			<description>None of this can redound on the Eurocrats or Our Masters in Whitehall. They _can_ only show that they've imposed yet more regulations &amp; spent their tax bonanzas exactly under the allocated heading. They've done _their_ jobs. Remember, too, that markets are all imperfect. 

The _only_ other thing officials can do is -- of course -- subsidise the smaller companies, -- which means more jobs for more officials, requiring more tax revenues...Isn't govt wonderful? - Sudha Shenoy</description>
