Mega-consumers in this group are concentrated in the global north, accounting for more than half the population of the US and 40-45% of people in the EU.

That’s you and us. The bourgeois in the rich nations. Because that’s who they do mean.

Top 10% generate climate and biodiversity damage bill

The top 10% of the world is, around and about, anyone full time on UK minimum wage or above.

It is indeed possible that there’s a real problem with climate change, even that something should be done about it. But it’s always fun to see how quickly any such call to action becomes an insistence upon the elimination of the bourgeoisie as a class, isn’t it? Almost as if that’s the real aim and there’s just a series of excuses to justify it over time.
