Oh, well done, stealing from socialists to protest capitalism.

It’s possible that we might want to change the education system. Or, perhaps, we’ll just have to accept that the unthinking are always with us:

A pressure group that threw custard at the crown jewels is planning mass thefts from Waitrose, The Telegraph can reveal.

Take Back Power (TBP), viewed as the successor to Just Stop Oil (JSO), has vowed to shoplift from the high-end supermarket in the coming months.

The group suggested it would redistribute the stolen food to the needy, in a protest at economic inequality.

Sigh.

So, for those who do not know, Waitrose is a thoroughly socialist organisation. It is owned by the workers within it, it is a workers’ cooperative. As we’ve said many a time voluntary socialism is just fine by us. If that’s the way that people wish to order their lives then that’s the way that people wish to order their lives and damn good luck to all who sail in that arrangement. As with all of those who wish to organise their lives in any other legal manner of course.

We now have these unthinking deciding to protest the iniquities of capitalism. We also support everyone’s right to do that within the law, of course we do, for we are, around here, probably the last actual liberals left standing.

But imagine deciding to protest capitalism by going and stealing from socialists.

For decades now the education establishment has been insisting that instead of teaching children things, lists, names and numbers, they’re going to teach them how to think instead. Much more important that, according to said establishment.

OK, so when are they going to start?
