Liam Deacon, Communications Fellow
Liam is a communications specialist, former journalist and Associate Director at Hanbury Strategy.
He spent five years in journalism and broadcasting, including reporting for Reach plc and as part of the founding team at GB News, where he produced live political coverage.
He later moved into political communications, serving as Head of Press for the Brexit Party during the 2019 general election before working in Nigel Farage’s office. He has also worked on Tom Tugendhat’s Conservative leadership campaign and a Conservative London mayoral campaign.
Liam has written for publications including The Telegraph, The Spectator, the Daily Express and VICE News, as well as writing articles and speeches for parliamentarians. He has written about free speech, online regulation and the role of markets in public life, and has a particular interest in politics, media and culture.
