Rory Sutherland Joins the Adam Smith Institute as a Senior Fellow
Rory Sutherland, Vice Chairman of Ogilvy and marketing guru, has joined the Adam Smith Institute (ASI), one of the world’s leading think tanks, as a Senior Fellow
The Adam Smith Institute (ASI) has announced that Rory Sutherland has become a Senior Fellow.
The world-renowned marketing expert and Vice Chairman of marketing giant Ogilvy, will work with the Institute to better express its research and advocacy functions.
Rory will apply his expertise in behavioral science and marketing to explain and promote free-market ideas, showing how human ingenuity can flourish when freed from bureaucracy
With Sutherland on board, the ASI aims to strengthen the case for consumer capitalism and show that markets, not the state, foster human creativity.
Rory Sutherland is a longtime friend of the Institute, and has delivered several headline lectures for the ASI. He remains deeply committed to its Overton Window pushing ethos and is unafraid to explore challenging new ideas.
An internationally respected figure in advertising, Sutherland spent over twenty years as an Ogilvy copywriter and creative director before co-founding its behavioral science practice. He has previously served as President of the IPA, Chair of the Judges for the Direct Jury at Cannes, and is a celebrated TED Global speaker.
He is a regular columnist for The Spectator, Market Leader, and Impact, he is also the author of several books, including The Wiki Man, the best-selling Alchemy: The Surprising Power of Ideas That Don't Make Sense, and Transport For Humans.
